Cloud Performance Engineer

IMC is a leading global market maker using algorithmic trading and advanced technology to

trade across multiple venues worldwide. We provide liquidity to the crypto and traditional
financial markets, driving efficiencies for buyers and sellers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
● Main objective: end to end performance optimizations for our trading stack (including
OS, cloud specific and application specific optimizations)
● Infrastructure: develop and maintain tooling to help streamline infrastructure
management processes
● Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Data
Engineers and other Cloud DevOps / System Engineers on achieving the highest degree
of automation, stability and scalability within IMC’s cloud infrastructure for crypto trading.

• Cloud Expertise: Mastery of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Alicloud) for services, networking, security and cost management. Cloud resource provisioning and management.

• Networking: Deep knowledge of Linux network stack, protocols, and APIs

• Infrastructure Automation: Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible (Puppet is a plus); CI/CD pipelines

• Containerisation and Orchestration: K8s, docker, docker image build and container registry experience, FluxCD/ArgoCD is a plus.

• Programming: Python, Bash. Additionally Go, C, C++ or similar a plus

• SCM: Git and workflows expertise

• Monitoring and Logging: Monitoring and alerting implementation (Prometheus, Grafana). Log analysis tools (ELK Stack, Loki, cloud alternatives).

• Security: Cloud security best practices.

• Problem-Solving and Innovative Thinking: A proven track record of addressing technical challenges, recognizing opportunities for innovation and executing solutions. Complex issue diagnosis and resolution, root cause analysis

Language: Proficiency in English.
